Thanks to a deranged Kevin Spacey
in Se7en, Gwyneth Paltrow had her head in a box
years before Justin Timberlake made it funny to put other things inside one. The film
and her romance with Brad Pitt
made her a tabloid favorite, but Gwyneth Paltrow later showed the entertainment
world that she was worthy of fame on her own accord with an Oscar-winning
tour-de-force in Shakespeare in
Love.
In her post-Oscar career, Gwyneth Paltrow is perhaps most proud of
smaller-minded indie efforts like The Royal Tenenbaums,
Sylvia and Proof, but she is far more recognizable in more mainstream
efforts like Shallow Hal
and Sky
Captain and the World of Tomorrow.
Most recently, she has reemerged on the mainstream as the world's most desirable
superhero assistant in Iron Man
and its 2010 sequel. (See more Pictures)
