Over the past few weeks, Tulisa Contostavlos has been hitting the beaches and pools of Miamiand Los Angeles in a series of tiny bikinis.
But as she prepared to shoot the video for her debut solo single in Florida today, the N-Dubz singer, 23, decided to look to the '50s for inspiration.

The X Factor judge showed off her curves in a floral Ted Baker 'Pictou' swimsuit, exaggerating her slim waist with a elasticated red belt.

They say it's good luck for a bird to do its business on you.

But Tulisa Contostavlos did not look too happy as a playful seagull flew straight in her direction.

The N-Dubz star was busy sunning herself on the beach in Miami when the creature swept over her, coming within inches from her face and touching distance had she sat up from her tanning position.

She's spent the past few weeks in America working on her debut solo album.
But it appears Tulisa Contostavlos couldn't resist getting in some tanning action as she headed straight to the pool following her arrival in Miami yesterday.

And let's hope the X Factor judge hasn't got butterfingers as she brought her phone with her as she enjoyed a cooling dip with her personal assistant Gareth Varey.

Back home in the UK, Tulisa Contostavlos' fans are used to seeing her covered up in her favourite velour tracksuits.

But after spending a few weeks in Los Angeles, the singer, who used to proudly proclaim her 'chav' status, appears to have had something of a California girl makeover, stepping out each day in skimpy playsuits and mini dresses.

And to complete her new look, Tulisa, 23, has been working on her golden tan, and was pictured lapping up the sunshine by her hotel pool.

But since seeing her star power soar thanks to her winning stint as a judge on last year's X Factor, Tulisa Contostavlos and her boyfriend Fazer are really living the high life.

The couple enjoyed a romantic New Year's holiday in the Maldives, where they lapped up the luxury at the picturesque Coco Palm resort.

The 27-year-old socialite continued her holiday in the Bahamas by wearing a black bandeau bikini to the beach in order to banish any tan lines she may have picked up along the way.
